theatre KAPOW’s aesthetic vision emphasizes the intimate connection of artist and audience. Because our shows bring the audience into the performance space, theatre KAPOW will require audience members to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative coronavirus test prior to being admitted to the theatre for performances of The Bøyg.  Additionally, all artists, staff, ushers, and volunteers will be required to be vaccinated. This requirement will be in effect alongside any additional policies set in place by the performance venue; however, tKAPOW’s vaccination requirement will supersede any venue policies that do not require proof of full vaccination. Currently, masks are required in all indoor public settings in the City of Boston.

Those who cannot be vaccinated, such as children younger than 12, those who have strong religious objections, or those who have medical conditions prohibiting them from receiving a vaccine will need to show negative PCR tests taken within 72 hours.

theatre KAPOW is using the VaxYes system to verify vaccination status.  To get your own digital vaccine passport, please visit  The process is quick (about 10 minutes) and easy.  Though they invite users to make a donation, your digital passport can be acquired free of charge.  Once you have your digital passport, just show that along with your ticket, at the door to gain entry to the show.

Patrons who do not wish to upload their information to VaxYes, may show either their original vaccination card, a copy of their card, or a digital photo of their card.  Patrons opting to use a negative COVID test result as a means of entry must present the certificate of a negative test to an usher before entering the theatre.  Under no circumstances will anyone be allowed to enter the theatre who cannot provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result.

Additionally, theatre KAPOW highly recommends use of a suitable face mask for all patrons regardless of vaccination status and will make masks available to any patron who may want one.

We understand that some patrons just may not be ready to be so close to each other or to our artists.  With that in mind, theatre KAPOW will both provide social distanced seating options for all New Hampshire performances and, for those truly not ready to come back to the theatre,  make available a digital copy of the show that can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.  Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss your options so that you can choose to engage with our work in a way that is comfortable for you.

When you come to see The Bøyg the last thing we want is for any of our patrons to be worried about their safety.  We hope that these measures will help provide our patrons, artists, and staff with peace of mind so that we can all enjoy the return of live performance together.
