Stockbridge Theatre
At 7:30 pm on Friday night, the company met to learn the prompt for the festival and match up writers with directors and actors. Two new twists for this year were a choice of a prop (or two!) which had to be included in the show, and drawing the type of staging for the festival. Of course, it was in the round!
At 7.30 pm on Saturday, the curtain rose. That’s it, 24 hours to write, rehearse, and mount an evening of new plays. Phew!
This year's prompt... The dream argument:
1. I often have perceptions very much like the ones I usually have in sensation while I am dreaming.
2. There are no definite signs to distinguish dream experience from waking experience.
Therefore, it is possible that I am dreaming right now and that all of my perceptions are false.
