But O How Fall'n:

Selected Works of John Milton

Theatre KAPOW presented a staged reading of original piece, But O How Fall’n: Selected Works of John Milton, for one night only Friday November 7, 2008 at the Dana Center at Saint Anselm College.

Four hundred years after John Milton's birth, the greatest poet and polemicist of the English revolution still speaks to us loud and clear.  Our images of Hell, the devil and the fall of man have been irrevocably shaped by Milton 's versions of them.  Milton ’s work is at once epic in scale and yet intensely personal and intimate.

The show includes selections from Milton ’s sonnets, Paradise Lost, Paradise Regained, Samson Agonistes, the Areopagatica, and others.  But O How Fall’n was presented as part of Milton 400, an academic conference hosted by the Department of English at Saint Anselm College to mark the fourth centenary of the birth of John Milton.
