A powerful drama, ’night, Mother is the story of Jessie, a depressed woman planning to commit suicide, and her mother, Thelma, who attempts to bring her daughter back from the brink. This eloquent, enthralling and ultimately shattering play explores the final hour in the life of a young woman who has decided that life is no longer worth living.
’night, Mother was the winner of the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and the original Broadway production was nominated for 4 Tony Awards.
