Oleanna is the gripping account of a power struggle between a male university professor and one of his female students.
Carol drops by her professor's office in an effort to gain his help to do better in class. John, the professor is in the midst of buying a house to celebrate his nomination for tenure. The two discuss the nature of understanding and judgment in society, and indeed their very own natures and places in our society. It seems as if a bond has been made.
Or has it?
John... Donald Tongue

Recommended for ages 16+. Mamet explores power dynamics between teacher and student; profanity, mature themes.
