June 2025 Open Training
As actors we often work to “get into” character. But what if we allow the character to get into us? Beginning with the space around us, and playing with objects, we can arrive at an imagination of character without limits. Bring a favorite stuffed animal.
Join us for a morning of exploration and experimentation led by company member Peter Josephson. Training is an integral part of theatre KAPOW’s work: acting, movement, improvisation, voice, speech, object work, viewpoints, and more. Company members have trained with Double Edge Theatre Company, the Michael Chekhov Studio, Shakespeare & Company, The Atlantic Acting School and SITI Company, and draw on these techniques and methods for their work.

Training is open to everyone 16 and older, with any level of experience or none. Participants should come comfortably dressed to move (no jeans). Arrive 15 minutes early to check in and stretch.
