theatre KAPOW opened its first production, Miss Julie, on September 12 and 13, 2008, at the Stockbridge Theatre in Derry, NH.

Miss Julie is August Strindberg’s classic tragedy of love, lust, power and the battle between the sexes. One of the greatest classics of modern theater—the fateful drama of a willful young aristocrat’s seduction of her father’s valet during a Midsummer’s Eve celebration, Miss Julie explores the roles of women and men, masters and servants in the emerging age of Freud’s theories and the rise of feminism.
