theatre KAPOW collaborated with Integral Transpersonal Theatre of Barcelona, Spain to produce an artist centered adaptation of Nick Farewell’s novel, Uma Vida Imaginária (An Imaginary Life). Nick Farewell is one of Brazil’s top selling authors and is most well-known for his book GO. In Uma Vida Imaginária, a man wakes up one day and discovers that his entire existence is the result of another man’s imagination. Told entirely through dialogue between this imaginary man and his wife, Uma Vida Imaginária asks the audience to explore the realms of conscious and unconscious thought to arrive at an understanding of what makes us human.
